مفردات التراث النجراني — من أدوات الحياة اليومية والحِرف، إلى الأزياء والمناسبات — تحمل دلالات ثقافية واجتماعية عميقة، وكثيرًا ما تُترجَم إلى الإنجليزية بصيغ متفاوتة أو مختزلة تفقدها معناها الحقيقي.Najrani heritage vocabulary — from everyday tools and crafts to dress and ceremonies — carries deep cultural and social meaning, yet it is often rendered into English inconsistently or too simply, losing its true sense.

من هنا جاء هذا النشاط ضمن برنامج مديد: لقاءات علمية تفاعلية في جامعة نجران جمعت المختصين والطلاب والطالبات، استُعرضت فيها المصطلحات التراثية واحدًا تلو الآخر — تعريفها، وسياقها الثقافي، والترجمات الشائعة لها، ثم اقتراح صيغة إنجليزية موحّدة ودقيقة لكل مصطلح.Hence this activity under the Madeed program: interactive scholarly sessions at Najran University bringing together specialists and students, reviewing heritage terms one by one — their definition, cultural context and common translations — then proposing a unified, accurate English rendering for each.
